A Complete Guide to 3Ds Max and Vray Arcviz tutorials

So you learned the all basics of 3ds max and know you want to take your work to the next level and start creating architectural visualizations.

This is a list of tutorials that I used in my journey to learn 3d. I also included my past work when I was following these courses.

These tutorials will show you the steps of creating complex architectural interior and exterior scenes. You will learn about the various modeling techniques, materials and texturing, professional lighting, and the best tips and tricks to achieve a high-quality render.

This is a beginner's course that teaches high-end architectural visualization techniques. The course covers both the modeling and lighting stages. It also covers cloth simulation in Marvelous Designer, Physical Camera settings and composition, and atmospherics. 

It teaches the professional workflow when approaching an interior scene and helps you achieve stunning, photo-realistic results in your own projects.

 

It was one of my first interior tutorials on my 3d journey. And while there were parts of this course that were improvised in process and not prepared in advance, I found it very easy to follow along.

This is a very advanced and professional course made by Evermotion. Evermotion is known for its high-quality interior scenes. In this tutorial, they will demonstrate the exact process of creating these professional interior scenes from scratch. 

It’s a long course that covers modeling, shading and materials, light setup, camera settings, and post-production all in great detail.


Level: Intermediate.

If you don’t want to invest in learning 3d just yet and looking for free tutorials then Youtube is where you go. It has a lot of extremely good professional and detailed tutorials and workshops for all levels.

This is a tutorial that I followed along 5 years ago when I was starting out. It was created by TAstudio 3d. And while it doesn't have a voice-over, it was well demonstrated and really simple to follow along.

Level: Beginner.

Project Files: Not Included.

Length: 50 minutes – Timelaps.

This is a really quick tutorial that teaches photo-realistic interior visualizations. It goes through the steps of making high-end render images and shows you a detailed professional workflow in a really short time.

What I loved about this course is that it was straight to the point and packed a lot of information. It also had many time-saving tips and tricks like using really useful 3ds Max scripts that would speed up your workflow.

I felt very confident after finishing this tutorial and my renders have improved a lot.
